The Australian Virtual Console shop saw three releases for three past platforms this week: Yoshi’s Story from Nintendo 64, Super Air Zonk (Rockabilly Paradise) from Turbografx CD and Magician Lord from the NeoGeo.

Yoshi’s Story (Nintendo 64)

Super Air Zonk (Turbografx CD) is the sequel to the ‘zany’ Bonk series side scrolling shooter, Air Zonk. Like many other Turbografx CD games, it has a wicked soundtrack (which is described as Rockabilly style, but it sounds like 80’s hair-metal to me).

Magician Lord (NeoGeo) is what a Harry Potter game would have been if it were released in the early 90’s. Check out the cheezy voice acting toward the end of this video :).
